We are so fortunate to have a return visit from this amazing brother and sister duet.
On their own they are award winners but together they provide the most wonderful music and we welcome them back to Knysna, do not miss this concert!!
Andrey Baranov violin
Born in Leningrad in 1986 into a family of musicians, Mr Baranov graduated in 2004 from the Special Music School at the Conservatoire named after Rimsky-Korsakov.
He has won many top awards in Volgograd, London, Moscow and in Germany. Since 2008 he has been assistant to Professor Pierre Amoyal in the Conservatory in Lausanne. Mr Baranov plays on a violin by Andrea Guarneri (1682)
Maria Baranova piano
Maria has been playing in ensemble with her brother, Andrey since she was ten. She has performed all over Europe both solo and with different ensembles. In 2008 Ms Baranova took part in the Academy of Music in Lauzanne, this time with a different violinist, they won the prize for the best duet.
