The good news is that the Knysna motor show does it again for the Knysna and Plettenberg Bay charities !!

The Knysna motor show (KMS), sponsored by Sanlam Private wealth , and held on April 28,2019 was again a phenomenal success . Around 5500 people visited the KMS , which is now rated as one of the best motor shows in SA , if not the best . The feature displays of the iconic Mercedes 300 & 190 SL’s , the Bentley’s celebrating 100 years , the Mini celebrating 60 years and the Morgan 110 years certainly were the highlights , along with the very high standard of the remaining cars and motorcycles on display and impeccable organisation, has all resulted  in that, after accounting for the motor show expenses, we were able to donate R108,000 to charity. The charities that benefitted from this generous donation are the Knysna & Sedgefield Hospice , Knysna Animal Welfare , E-pap ( feeding scheme for underprivileged children ) , FAMSA ( NPO specialising in relationship counselling )   , Epilepsy , BADISA  ( Child protection ) , Change for Change ( looking after destitute families ) and HopeHQ (Hands & Heart skills development ). Please see the photo above of the Charity beneficiaries. The donation has come at a time when all of these charities are under tremendous funding pressures ,to meet the ever growing need for their services. Over the past 8 years the Knysna motor show has donated in excess of R600,000 to charity.

This donation from the Knysna motor show has only been made possible through the support of our sponsors , all the participants displaying their cars and motorcycles , the public that came from across SA and the dedication of the Garden Route Motor Club team that stages the motor show . We salute all of them  and say a very big thanks .

We look forward to build on this success when next year’s Knysna motor Show is held on Sunday May 3 , 2020
