Prostate Cancer

For this year's Men's Health campaign the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) wants all men to remember the importance of men investing in their health. SA men have a 1:8 chance of getting cancer in their lifetime. Prostate Cancer is one of the most common cancers with a 1:27 chance.

The cancer risk can be reduced by making smart choices, avoiding carcinogens, living a balanced life style and being aware of the cancer warning signs.

Symptoms of Prostate Cancer are:

Difficulty in passing urine

Difficulty in starting and stopping urinary stream

Frequent need to urinate, especially at night

It is important to go for regular screening which helps to identify your cancer risk. The measurement of PSA levels in blood has become a valuable tool in the diagnosis of cancer of the prostate.

This PSA test is available for the months of JUNE, JULY and AUGUST at a special reduced price of R105 at the PATHCARE Rooms

We advise all men to avail themselves of this offer.
