Introduction:

Our amazing Plett Dance Academy Super Stars, Belinda Hart, Gabriella Kennedy & Tait Solomon, have earned South African colours for modern dance and acro, securing themselves places at the prestigious International Fine Arts Association (IFAA) event in Mauritius this September 2024.

 Belinda, Gabi and Tait will be competing for the top spots among their peers on a global stage and we would greatly appreciate your support in getting these young ladies to Mauritius in September.

 Your contributions will go a long way to covering their travel costs and expenses.

Together we can make their dreams come true!

  To raise funds and bring the Plett Community together, we are hosting various fundraisers, starting with the “Burgers and Boogie at Barrington’s” event on the 27^th  of July 2024.

 This will be followed by a Pilates Morning led by Debra, at the Plettenberg Bay Country Club in August (Date to be confirmed).

Your MC

 To ensure the party flows, we have Vanessa Raath, who is known to speak on global stages, as our guest MC leading you through the event’s line up. She will keep you upbeat, on your toes and informed so that you can embrace the full experience of the event.

 Live Music

 Our live music, presented by Irene Vermaak on Saxophone, will set the tone on your arrival, to get you into the mood and swing of things, whilst you nibble on canapes and mingle, laugh, and connect with friends.

 What’s Cooking?

 Indulge in gourmet burgers that’ll make your taste buds dance! Juicy classics, even for the vegetarians, will be a mouthwatering surprise. Barrington’s burgers always provide a symphony of flavours that delight.

 Live Entertainment

 Our Live Entertainment features the incredible Shaza, who will dazzle you with her incredible, toe-tapping tunes. This is your cue that it’s time to pick up the tempo and get into the island paradise party vibe.

DJ & Dancing

 After a little dessert, the dance floor awaits you. Our DJ beats will get your feet moving, hips swaying and shoulders shimmying. Let loose and let’s boogie — it’s all about celebrating life through movement!

Raffle Draw

 We have amazing raffle prizes up for grabs. Raffle tickets will be sold in the days leading up to the event as well as during the event for R50 each; so, while making a difference, you could also be a lucky winner who walks away with a prize.

 Silent Auction

 We have some incredible items on offer at the event, so do look out for these. Bid, win, and feel the joy of giving back.

Island Paradise Dress Code

 Island Paradise, this is the vibe: fun, tropical, and oh-so dance-worthy!

 Think tropical hues of turquoise blues, coral pinks, lush greens, and sandy neutrals. Channel the vibrant colours of exotic flowers and ocean waves.

 Embrace floral prints, palm leaves, and playful patterns. Whether it’s a flowy maxi dress, a Hawaiian shirt, or a sarong, let patterns transport you to paradise.

 Don’t forget your beaded jewellery or lei’s and a flower tucked behind your ear adds that extra touch of island allure.

 Sandals and espadrilles will most definitely allow you to take to the dance floor when the DJ starts to play your favourite tunes.
