The Drakensberg Boys Choir School is nestled in the lap of a World Heritage Site, the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Mountains holds the world-renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir School - often labelled as “South Africa’s Singing Ambassadors”. This School prepares boys for life and leadership through excellence in music, sport, academics, and social enrichment - all aspects of a balanced, holistic education.
The Drakensberg Boys’ Choir School is one of the few South African schools whose fame extends around the world. This school offers a unique educational opportunity for children in that it stimulates a boy’s spirit of adventure and exploration in the physical surroundings of the school whilst also nurturing the development of the mind and expression in his innate musical talent. Here, boys are encouraged to just be boys.
During 2017 the DBCS visited Japan for 6 weeks and entertained 35 000 audience members in 5 star concert halls.
The Drakensberg Boys Choir School or also referred to as the Singing Ambassadors, is truly a product of South Africa we can all be proud of.
