Thank You Differently-Abled Awareness Campaign
Masizakhe and the children at The Crags Primary School would like to thank Rita Hardaker form Differently-Abled Awareness Campaign for their generous donation of sewing kits, wool, fabric pieces, knitting needles and various sewing aids which will assist the young ones in their knitting, sewing and crocheting requirements.
Knowing how to sew, knit or crochet, is a useful life skill with lifelong practical applications. It requires concentration and focus, problem solving skills, hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Sewing is a great way to express ones creativity and individuality which will provide them with as sense of accomplishment that will boost their self-confidence. They will also have a social creative outlet for meeting and gathering with friends. And, let's not forget, sewing can be just plain fun!
